Editor Hooks to Embed Printer Codes in Text - April, '93

These editor hooks will allow you to embed basic printer codes into the
editor. The .hoo files must be in the root directory of the A: drive.
The programs have been tested with the C: drive fdisked as high as 32k
but if the C: drive is larger, the programs may not work due to lack of
memory. There are three versions so far:

epson.hoo - for Epson printer codes
hplj.hoo  - for HP Laserjet 2 codes
hpdj.hoo  - for HP Deskjet codes

To Use The Hooks
----------------

Position the cursor where you want to insert the printer code and press
Fn+6. A menu box will appear containing your hoo files. Select the hook
for your printer and press enter. The following menu will appear:

Simply press the number of the effect you require and it will be
inserted into the text. Effects can be mixed eg. Underlined+Italic but
this may depend on the available fonts for your printer, particularly
the laserjet and deskjet.

History
-------

These hook files were originally written using PowerBasic and have been
converted to 'stand alone' hooks using Turbo Pascal Version 6.0 with the
help of BJ Gleason's portfoli.tpu.

--------

Please send me feedback! At present only underline, bold and italic are
supported, but if there is enough interest the program can be developed
to include more effects. It will also be possible to produce customised
versions so please contact me if you are interested.
